Diving Trips for interstate travellers

How long are the trips?
2 Day Weekend Trips: Friday Night to Monday Morning;
2 Day Midweek Trips: Monday Night to Thursday Morning;

3 day trips are also available;

What will be the total cost of the trip?
2 day, 3 night weekend or mid week trip in Moreton Bay Marine Park will cost $499.00 including GST. An additional $10.00 per day fuel levy applies

What's included for your $499.00?
How many dives?

• Group transfers from Brisbane Airport to "Big Cat Reality" & Group transfers back to Brisbane Airport .
• Tank and Weight belt onboard. ( Ally 88s with normal K valve)
• All Meals:        
  First night - Hot supper only (Fri/Mon)
  First Day - Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, BBQ Dinner. (Sat/Tues)
  Second Day - Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch (Sun/Wed)                      “No Dinner is provided on this night, self funded meal ashore”
  Third Day - Breakfast. (Mon/Thurs)
• 8 Dives:
  First Day - 4 x day dives, 1x night dive. (Sat/Tues)
  Second Day - 3 x day dives. (Sun/Wed)
• Air Fills: Your tank is refilled after each dive.
• All dive Master Services as required by Qld WPHS ie: briefs etc, (not dive guides.)
• Accommodation: Three night's accommodation on board "Big Cat Reality" in air-conditioned comfort. (Fri-Mon or Mon-Thur)
• Full use of all facilities on board "Big Cat Reality"

Departure / Arrival Times?
On arrival at the Brisbane Airport , (normally 5pm ) your group will be transferred to "Big Cat Reality" at Redcliffe. After breakfast on the last morning your group will be transferred back to the Brisbane Airport where you will have the opportunity to check in your luggage and make the most of the sights of Brisbane before flying out at around 2:30 pm.

"Big Cat Reality" departs the marina around 8:00pm on the first night and is along-side again at about 5pm on the last afternoon.

What's not included?
Soft drinks, alcohol and chocolates (which can be purchased at the bar), No alcohol is to be brought on board, as "Big Cat Reality" is fully licensed. There only a light supper on the first night and no meal is provided on the last night when along-side the marina, however local restaurants are available.

Berths?
"Big Cat Reality" is set up with large comfy bunk style accommodation which is fully air-conditioned and roomy to minimize sea sickness and claustrophobia. Everyone gets a great bunk, and they are located in the middle of the ship which is the best place to be. (No pokey bow berths) All bed linen and a bath towel (for fresh water showers) is provided. Please bring along a towel for diving purposes. I'm sure you will have a great stay onboard.

Meals:
Meals are well-presented with large serves for you to enjoy throughout your weekend. They include: buffet breakfasts, hot & cold buffet lunches and of course the infamous Big Cat BBQ. You will also enjoy healthy fruit platters and other tastebud temptations /snacks between dives. If you have any dietary requirements, please advise us at the time of booking. This will allow us to cater for your needs.

Crew:
As usual on Big Cat Reality you will have the friendly and professional services of five "Big Cat" Crew, who are dedicated to your safety and the smooth running of the vessel's operation. On the dive deck you have another four professional dive crew dedicated just to the diving operations to ensure safe and enjoyable diving for everyone.

Dive Gear?
You are required to supply your own dive gear, or you can hire it from one of our professional dive operators. (All divers Must have a dive computer) Air fills are provided on the trip.  Tanks that are provided are normally ally 88s with k valves (yoke, not din fittings)

What should I bring?

• A happy smiling self that's excited about their best dive trip ever!!!!!
• A beach towel for diving purposes. (preferably named)
• All medications. (including seasickness remedies if required)
• Toiletries and personal belongings.
• All dive gear, including safety sausage, torches for night dives & Dive computer.
• Dive certification cards and log books.
• Hat and sunscreen.
• Cash to pay your bar tab & fuel levy.
• Cameras.
• No alcohol, as "Big Cat Reality" is a licensed premises.

Is there room for my camera gear?
Yes, there is a designated camera area on the dive deck with fresh water washing facilities, air & storage tubs. Every bunk has its own 240v power out let and there are plenty of other areas with power points to use your laptops and charge batteries. Photos can be viewed on the TV in the back lounge area.

Do you offer any courses onboard?
Reality Cruises provides a professional dive platform to your dive shop to utilize, and currently have over 25 different operators working with us.  All the dive operators conduct a large range of courses and I'm sure they will be able to meet all your needs.  Just ask your dive leader about running a course on your trip. No open water courses are offered onboard. 

Can I dive the “ex HMAS Brisbane” while I’m in Brisbane?
Yes! For only an extra $100.00, two of your dives can be up graded to include two dives on the 133m wreck of the ex HMAS Brisbane which in located on the Sunshine coast. 

If your group plans to include the “Brisbane” in their weekend away, “Big Cat Reality” will meet up with the professional dive team from “Bluewater Dive” from Mooloolaba, on site first thing in the morning on the first day.  These guys will take you on two Great guided dives on this world class wreck. 

(Please Note: all dives on the “ex HMAS Brisbane” are subject to weather conditions being right on the day.  In the case of these dive being cancelled due to weather, you will receive a $100.00 refund)

Car Parking at the Marina?
We have security car parking at our berth. Gates are locked at 10:00pm and opened at 5:00am .

How do I book an interstate package on "Big Cat Reality"?
Contact your local dive shop and they can organize a group of 6 divers to come up with you.
